Tony Jones picked a pretty good -- and improbable -- time to get his first win filling in for Bruce Pearl who is serving an eight game suspension.Down 30-13 early, Tennessee (11-6, 1-2) roared back in the second half behind the scoring of Skylar McBee and Scotty Hopson for a 67-64 win over Vanderbilt in Knoxville.
The Vols were 7-35 in the first half, including 0-9 from three but only found themselves down 10 at the break. They were a different team in the second half, defending with vigor and scoring efficiently.
Hopson led Tennessee with 16 points and freshman Tobias Harris added 15. Brian Williams was big late, getting to almost every loose ball and stealing Vandy's inbounds to seal the win. He finished with eight points and 12 rebounds.
