In which Bobby Ryan criticizes Taylor Lautner?s acting in ?Twilight?Yahoo! Sports has a site called The Post Game which is an entertaining mix of sports and pop culture, and I had a chance to contribute a piece today in which Bobby Ryan of the Anaheim Ducks reviews "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1."

From a hockey perspective, it was interesting to hear that Ryan attended the premiere this week with members of the Los Angeles Kings, who walked out of the film early on while Ryan soldiered forth. Obviously, rivalries can be put aside to witness a werewolf and a vampire fighting over a lip-biting mope.

From a film criticism perspective, we asked him to analyze the work of actor Taylor Lautner, who plays the frequently-shirtless werewolf Jacob Black in the tween vampire saga.

So how was Launter's performance? Ryan said:

"Horrendous."

That bad?

"Every time this kid comes on screen, I felt like I had to stop watching. He was worse than all of his other performances. He's never been good, right? He's been the guy who takes his shirt off and 12 year old girls scream. You can't expect a lot from him to begin with. But he was so cheesy, man."

Did he take his shirt off a lot in "Breaking Dawn Part 1"?

"I couldn't believe it," says Ryan. "In the opening scene, I'm sitting next to [Los Angeles Kings defenseman] Drew Doughty and this kid comes running out of his house throws it off and starts running into the woods. When did it become uncool to be a dude anymore? I know there's a market for it ... but what happened to the strong silent guy who kicks people's asses when they needed to?"

Truer words were never spoken about tween vampire sagas. Read the full review on The Post Game.
