Video: Ref gives Penn State a leg (and a foot) up against Iowa

Penn State quarterback Rob Bolden only completed 3 of7passes during the Nittany Lions' 13-3 win over Iowa, but his final completion might go down as the greatest of his career.

And it was totally by accident.

While under pressure by the Iowa defense, Bolden badly misfired a pass in the vicinity of freshman Bill Belton and it literally kicked off an official's foot to a streaking Andrew Szczerba for a 19-yard gain. The drive resulted in a field goal.

The play didn't quite have the drama of the Immaculate Reception, but it was probably one of the more interesting passes in Penn State history.

Unfortunately for Bolden, the magic didn't last long. He was benched in favor of Matt McGloin, who went on to lead the 13-3 victory with just a little help from the Nittany Lion defense.
