Tony Romo may be losing supporters by the week in Dallas (and then gaining them right back the next week), but one fan who won't abandon the embattled Cowboys quarterback is the town's other big sporting star, Dirk Nowitzki.
The 2011 NBA Finals MVP sent out the following tweet on Monday morning, the day after Romo threw two late interceptions in the Cowboys' 24-point collapse:
Nowitzki suffered through years of criticism after stellar regular seasons were followed by subpar playoff performances and early exits. When he led Dallas to its first NBA Finals appearance in 2006, he played a pivotal role in blowing a 15-point lead that would have put the team up 3-0 in the series. He was an MVP, a perennial first-team All-NBA selection and the best player in the team's history yet he couldn't shake that label. It wasn't until Nowitzki and the Mavs won the NBA title in June that the "Dirk as choker" topic finally died out.

It's nice of Dirk to give indirect advice to Romo through his 294,000 Twitter followers, and the underlying sentiment is one the Cowboys quarterback should remember: Win a title and everybody will stop talking smack.
