Dropkick Murphys? tasty tribute to Alex Burrows

Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys have provided the unofficial soundtrack to recent Boston sports championships and, since this is Boston we're talking about here, much championship gloating.

After the Boston Red Sox adopted "Tessie" as the team's battle hymn in 2004, the band provided the entertainment at the Sox's 2007 World Series parade. Their music was prominent four years later when the Boston Bruins rolled through town with the Stanley Cup.

After the Bruins won the Cup, Dropkick Murphys were on tour in Canada. Their noogie on the heads of Canadian hockey fans? Playing "We Are The Champions" before hitting the stage and selling Boston title swag at their merchandise table, according to Days of Y'Orr.

But as you can see from the image above, the noogies didn't stop there. This T-shirt has been available at recent shows, featuring the band's name and Red Sox-ish skates on the front and "BITE THIS BURROWS" and the Stanley Cup on the back.

Now we just wait for someone to Photoshop this onto Milan Lucic as he stuck his fingers in Maxim Lapierre's face. ...

Certainly a nice companion piece for that "BITE THIS BURROWS" shirt you probably already own, Bruins fans.
