Deep Posts, morning edition: Bucs will hang on to Talib

? Good news for Aqib Talib -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers plan on welcoming him back. There were some serious questions about his future when he was arrested after allegedly pistol-whipping and shooting at his sister's boyfriend. The trail isn't until March, so the Bucs thank you, legal system.

? The Bucs were also the first team to agree to terms with their first-round draft pick, defensive end Adrian Clayton.

? One more Bucs-related note: They put up a good fight for offensive tackle Doug Free, but couldn't pry him away from Dallas.

? Mark Sanchez said he'd be willing to restructure his contract if it would help the Jets spend money on other guys. This, of course, makes Sanchez a wonderful man. Reminder: Sanchez is scheduled to make over $14 million this year, and is way more likely to perform like a $6 million a year guy.

? TENSION IN CAROLINA: Both Jimmy Clausen and Cam Newton want to wear the number two, as both men have a strong desire to represent on their jersey the number of interceptions they'll throw in any given half of football.

? Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson may or may not show up for the beginning of training camp. He's underpaid, and would like that to be rectified. As if the Eagles don't have enough to worry about right now.

? According to the Kansas City Star, the Kansas City Chiefs plan to spend their money wisely. To all the teams out there planning to spend their money foolishly, do yourselves a favor and learn from the Chiefs example.

? Ryan Fitzpatrick, quarterback of the Buffalo Bills, showed up eager and early for work. He's the returning starter, but Thiggers is now knocking on the door.

? Don't forget Marc Bulger as a potential option for the Cardinals. Everyone and their mother assumes they'll be dealing for Kevin Kolb, but this report from Ravens Insider says the Cards have been in contact with Bulger, too.

? Bob Kravitz of the Indy Star is getting a little impatient with the Colts contract negotiations with Peyton Manning.

? There is some good news for the Bengals today: Andre Smith showed up to camp in a good place, weight-wise.

? I didn't know this, but apparently, if the NFL lockout had dragged on and we'd have missed a season of football, our society would have turned into some kind of a utopia. It's too bad. It sounded really nice.
