Brian Wilson obviously knows how to dress, as anyone who saw The Stew's recent post about his All-Star game shoes would tell you.
Not to mention his offseason appearance as a sea captain on "The George Lopez Show."
Well, the time for Wilson to show off his forward fashion sense came again Wednesday night in Hollywoodland at the ESPY Awards, and nobody made a bigger impression on the red carpet than the San Francisco Giants closer.
Channeling his outer penguin, Wilson (as you probably can see) showed up in a one-piece spandex tuxedo that had its own set of attached white gloves.
As for accessories, Wilson added a gold bow tie, custom socks sent to him by a fan and ... a walking stick? No, he's not the slightest bit strange, is he?
Wilson was funny interacting with pregame hosts Michelle Beadle and Colin Cowherd, who tried to match Wilson's Epic Beard by donning fake black beards themselves.
But the spandex tux blew their beard party away. Check the video while it lasts, and below read a transcription of Wilson's part, plus a mini photo montage:
"Well, I have a seal skin tuxedo suit with the orange ?very appropriate ?bow tie," Wilson said.
"It's a onesie, so it has built-in gloves that are a little dirty because I've been getting a little awkward here on the carpet.
"And I've got my cougar cane ? my 'plus one' tonight.
He's trying to attract cougars with a cane? Is that what he's saying?
Wilson continued with his self-description:
"And the socks came in the fan mail from a San Francisco Giants fan," Wilson said. "You know who you are, thank you.
"It said: 'Enjoy.' That was the letter. And I'm currently enjoying them. Ninja socks."
And what about those? I wish we had a better look at them:
But it was kind of that Giants fan to embroider ninjas on socks for Brian Wilson. He seems to appreciate them.
And let's check those gloves up close:
Michael Jackson would like it ? even though he's covering both hands.
