The biggest Cowboy welcomed a little cowboy on Monday.
Quarterback Tony Romo and his wife, Candice Crawford, had their first child this week, a boy named Hawkins Crawford Romo. He was delivered at 5:30 p.m. on April 9, weighing 8 pounds, 8 ounces, according to a Romo rep.
All was well with mother and child.
The Dallas Cowboys quarterback married the former Miss Missouri last year in a lavish ceremony on the outskirts of the city. He and Crawford met while she was a reporter for a local television station. On her 24th birthday, he proposed.
Romo revealed his wife's pregnancy last October during an appearance at a middle school. A student asked whether he had children and Romo surprised the crowd by revealing that his first was on the way.
His NFC East counterpart, Eli Manning, welcomed his first child, a girl named Ava, last March and went on to win the Super Bowl.
