The NFL transforms the Pirates? minor-league field into a giant beach for Super Bowl week (Video)

As a proud son of the Midwest, I've always wanted to attend a game at Victory Field, the downtown home of the Indianapolis Indians. It's a nice-looking ballpark and it plays home to the Triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates (so, as they say, you can see tomorrow's large-market stars today). Combine a nice summer night with a late-night reservation at St. Elmo's and we're suddenly talking about living the good life in America's crossroads.

Apparently the NFL also wanted to get a Victory Field fix in beforeit left town, so it did the most logical thing and turned the place into one of the many things that Indy is lacking from other Super Bowl locations: A 54,000-square-foot beach.

A video of the transformation is below.
