Mocking an opponent after scoring a goal is a time-honored tradition that typically ends with the opposing team getting retribution in one way or another. From taking a goal celebration too far to chirping an opposing player of goalie, there's only so much mocking a team can take before they react.
On Monday night in Sweden, Henrik Eriksson of Mora IK found out exactly how far he could go before Leksand's Alen Bibic responded.
After Mora's goal in the second period to take a 2-1 lead, Eriksson decided to give Bibic a hug in front of the net as part of the celebrations not knowing that the Leksand defender had a surprise coming his way:
It's not the first time Eriksson has tried to grind the gears of Leksand. According to Aftonbladet, the last time the two teams met Eriksson raised his five fingers in the air to signal to the crowd that it was Mora's fifth straight win over Leksand.
Bibic and Leksand would get the last laugh with a 3-2 victory and Eriksson would end up getting a 10-minute misconduct after the final whistle for "abuse of officials".
